"Casta Diva" Moscow

"Casta Diva" offers homemade Italian cuisine in exquisite interiors, including magnificent summer terrace.
Chef – Michele Brogioni
Pizza chef – Vincenzo Dilillo
Director – Pavel Erofeev

"Casta Diva" restaurant opened on Tverskoy Boulevard in 2008 and immediately captivated city gourmets and connoisseurs of Italian cuisine. Its interiors resemble a summer garden – fountains, picturesque frescoes on the walls and ceiling, open terrace buried in verdure of flowers and trees.

The menu offers homemade Italian cuisine, some regional classic food and designer’s dishes from chef Michele Brogioni. Guests can choose from 15 kinds of pizza cooked by Italian pizza-chef Vincenzo Dilillo. Sweet pizzas, pizzas with truffles, seafood, mushrooms, with traditional tomato sauce or original asparagus sauce – all this dispels a myth that pizza isn’t a dainty dish.

TURANDOT PALACE RESTAURANT (MOSCOW)

If Marie Antoinette were alive and well and living in Moscow, chances are she would dine at Turandot. The Turandot Restaurant is situated on Tverskoy Boulevard a few steps from the famous Cafe Pushkin Restaurant. The owner of the both restaurants is the famous restaurateur Andrey Deloss. The Turandot Restaurant is an establishment beyond the scope of definition “restaurant”, it’s a true luxury palace, all the interiors of which are hand-made. Here is the tinsel, the antiques, the majestic chandelier of Malaysian crystal with unique lightning, acting fireplaces, tapestries – and everything is genuine! The details of interior have been made for 6 years! Two workshops of wood-carvers, artists, sculptors have worked at them without a break.

The restaurant has got 14 halls of 20 thousand sq. m. The tables boast china-ware – the XVIII century original copies. Three dozens of steps, winter gardens, frescos, pictures, silk carpets, vase collection of Min dynasty era. In the center – there’s a chic modern bar . Above it all there’s a mechanical peacock able to whirl and to flop, a grotesque hi-tech copy of the Hermitage statue in St. Petersburg.

Chinese, Japanese. The menu was elaborated by Alan Yau, the only chef who was awarded two Michelin stars for the Asian cuisine. He offers the wide range of Chinese and Japanese dishes. It’s worth mentioning gentle ostrich fillet in bean sauce, Meru fish fillet with a sour-sweet sauce, Pekinese duck with beluga caviar, rolls with duck-chest, mango and crab salad. All the dishes are so excellent that the gourmets are at a difficult choice.

Pay your attention to the dessert menu. Ice-
cream and sorbets are from the Cafe Pushkin, while the desserts are all from the chef. For example, roll of chocolate-cigarette pastry with chocolate and pistachio creme brulee with vanilla “Bourbon”, hot lemon gratin with wild strawberry.

International Women's Day! Ladurée Marie-Antoinette Macaron

International Women’s Day celebrates the achievements women have made and empower a new wave of women to push through the barriers. Although there have been break throughs vast inequalities still exist that prohibit women when participating in the economy, society and everyday life. But, this does not deter many female activists in fighting for equality for all.

I will be celebrating one of my favorite lady's, Marie-Antoinette. Fitting then that Ladurée has just introduced the Marie-Antoinette macaron made of two sky blue crispy shells, filled with a fondant cream infused with Laduree Marie-Antoinette tea.

A woman is an emblem of beauty; an enigma that harbors a myriad thoughts and emotions within the crucible of privacy. She drives you crazy, and yet one cannot fathom how insipid the world would be without her.

Happy international women's day Ladies!

CELEBRATE MOTHER’S DAY IN STYLE

Champagne Laurent-Perrier has teamed up with Peggy Porschen, founder of London’s prettiest cupcake café, to offer the ultimate cream tea to celebrate Mothering Sunday, 10th March.

Spend time with mum and say thank you in style with a bespoke champagne cream tea and enjoy an afternoon of baked delights.

Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé was created four decades ago and is revered by wine-lovers and style-setters throughout the world for its soft salmon-pink colour and delicious, berry-fruit taste. Renowned for irresistibly pretty and elegant designs that are not only visually stunning but also taste delicious, Peggy and her talented team of pastry chefs and sugar-craft artists are passionate about creating edible works of art.

Jour du Macaron! Macaron Day 20th March 2013, London

“Macarons only weigh a few grams, but that’s enough to leave your senses quivering with pleasure. Their thin, crisp shell, slightly rounded shape, tempting colours and tender interiors draw devotees to devour them with their eyes, and caress their smooth surface. Their flavours solicit the nose and, when one bites into that crisp shell, the ears tingle with pleasure and the palate is finally rewarded.”
Pierre Hermé

The countdown has begun Macaron day is fast approaching! Held every year on the 20th March London's macaron day is inspired by and coincides with the Jour du Macaron in Paris, created by la Maison Pierre Hermé, his Macarons have taken the world by storm in the recent years, and if you have tried one you can understand why. These babies are not only beautiful to look at, but are also delicious to eat. How could one resist?

On Wednesday 20th March, Pierre Hermé will be celebrating Macaron Day, a day of gourmandise and generosity! Pierre Hermé and members of the Relais Desserts invite you to join around France's most famous colourful treat, the Macaron! More than the simple pleasure of taste, this day is oriented towards solidary action. This year, we will be supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, the only UK-wide charity focusing solely on this disease.

For this unique annual event, Pierre Hermé Paris boutiques will offer a selection of 25 different emblematic flavours of macarons. An opportunity to discover or rediscover the unique universe of tastes, sensations and pleasures created by the man that Vogue dubbed the "Picasso of Pastry"!

Vive le Macaron!
